How To Setup your PartyCam

1) Black out the Corner of your ipad and place tape over the light. Some software programs will activate the light in low light situations and this will result in a poor photo… I use black craft paint and gaffers tape for the lamp

2) Turn on the guest director led light. There is a little switch on the top of the coin cell and circuit box on/off This can be left on for quite some time as the blinking led will draw very little power. Replacement battery is a 2032 coin cell. In early models of the PartyCam this is fastened by adhesive, later double sided tape. The door snaps open to replace the coin cell. if needed replace the double sided tape to refasten the holder

2A) NOTE FOR VERSION 2 WOOD FRAME PARTYCAM
The guest director light package is located on the upper inside left frame of the Wood Frame PartyCam

3) Insert the Ipad 10.5 inch pro into the case by first sliding it into the top of the case then rotating it down and into the bottom snap (no photo for this action)

3a) If your PartyCam is designed for the ipad 11 pro you will see two lever locks on the bottom, of the interior of the PartyCam, instead of a snap.
Slide the lever locks over the bottom edge of the ipad to secure it into place. You will just need to move them over a little bit, not all the way.

3B UPADATE FOR VERSION 2.0 WOOD FRAME PARTYCAM

The ipad is held into the wood frame of the V2 partycam with 2 wood plates and screws. Unscrew the wood plates, slip in the ipad and reinstall the wood plates, tightening the screw with a phillips screwdirver (not too tight!). Each plate will fit in its specific side of the wood frame, check the ensure you have the correct wood plate by looking at the dots embossed on the inside of the plate and the frame of the PartyCam. Typically there is one dot for the left plate and 2 dots for the right plate.

SPECIAL NOTE FOR 12.9 IPADS This ipad is a tight fit into the frame. carefully push it in to located in in the frame. To remove, you will notice a small opening on the front right bottom of the face. Use a tootpick to push out the ipad from the frame using this access hole.

4) Begin to open the front bellows by un hooking the top hook

5) Now Carefully loosen the thumb screws on each side of the camera case and slowly fold down the camera. When the cover is down tighten the thumbscrews to secure it in place.

6) Very carefully grasp the lens end of the bellows and rotate it up and out of the circular holder and insert its bottom pins into the matching holes on the front of the camera case… When you are packing up, do the reverse, and just be very gentle when you stow the bellows/lens end back into the folding door

7) Then slide the case hook over to the left to capture the screw. This will prevent the lens end of the bellows from popping out of the pin holes. Then tighten the thumbscrews to keep the lens end of the bellows from moving.

The hook screw is a new addition to the PartyCam. Owners of older versions will be sent the screw and instructions on how to install

8) Now install the top light into the middle slot on the case. Its a standard twist to tighten light mount. If you find the mount is wobbly or twists, tighten the phillips screw located in the center inside of the base of the mount (see above)

8a NOTE FOR PARTY CAM WOOD VERSION 2.0

The LED mount is already installed on the frame of the Wood PartyCam, install the led lamp to the mount buy placing it on top of the mount and turning the knob/wheel to screw it onto the mount.

9) Make the connection between the PartyCam and the lamp with the white connector. IMPORTANT When you disconnect these ends DO NOT tug or pull on the wires, only the white connector parts!! They are firmly connected and will take a little bit of wiggling to disconnect…

9a TO TURN ON THE LIGHT

MAKE SURE BATTERY IS INSTALLED

FIRST TURN ON THE POWER SWITCH OF THE LED PAD LOCATED ON THE BACK OF THE LED PAD

THEN YOU CAN TURN THE LED LIGHT ON AND OFF BY PUSHING THE BUTTON LOCATED ON THE REAR TOP RIGHT SIDE OF THE PARTY CAM

10 SAVING SETTINGS ON THE LED PAD

The Led pad can be adjusted in brightness and color temp with the knob on the back of the LED Pad

Push the knob until either the brightness % is blinking or Color Temp is blinking, then adjust the knob to the setting you would like

The LED pad will NOT remember the settings if you turn it off by the switch or partycam push button unless you do the following:

Push the LED knob to the setting you with to adjust.

Then adjust the setting (ie power output percent or color temp)

Once you have the specific setting adjusted push and HOLD the button in for at least 20 seconds

Do the same for the other setting

Once this is done the setting will be remembered by the led pad when you turn it on and off

P>S> NEW… A jumper plug will be available so you can use the light without the PartyCam on any other camera you might own. Watch for details soon…

THATS IT! YOU SHOULD BE READY TO GO!

When you disassemble the PartyCam, follow the steps in reverse… Be very gentle when you disconnect the lens end of the bellows to store it in the folding front so it does not tear…
